General FAQ’s

  • There can be a lot of reasons that leads someone to look to a therapist for support.   Some of the areas often I work with includes Technology Abuse, School Refusal or Avoidance, Self-Harm, Trauma, Grief, Loss, Attachment Issues, Family Conflict and Communication, Anxiety, Depression, Unhealthy Boundaries and Life Balance.

  • Unfortunately, this is hard to answer. Everyone’s has a set of unique circumstances and needs. which determines the length of treatment. It depends on a number of factors like your goals, your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the concerns that are driving you to seek counseling.

  • The quickest and easiest way to request an appointment is through the client portal (yes, even if you are a new client!).  You can also contact me form, phone or email to schedule an appointment. If I don’t answer your call, I’ll make sure to get back to you within one business day.  If you have an emergency, please visit your nearest emergency room or call 911.

  • It's important for you to feel like you’re making the best choice for yourself in finding a therapist.  Generally, consultations last about 15 minutes via phone or online.

    During this time, I can answer any questions that you have, or we can just chat to see if there is a vibe. The most important part of this consultation is determining if you feel like we would be a good fit to work together.

  • Not one bit! Actually, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to ask for help.  EVERYONE needs help at some point in their life. In our work together, I can help you identify and explore your strengths and how you can use those strengths to work towards your identified goal.
